Learning to read, one letter at a time
Even many third and fourth grade students in Laos still cannot read a single word. Our 7-book 'I Can Read' series introduces the Lao letters one by one, with fun practice after each lesson.
By the time they finish this first book, children have learned 10 common consonants and 6 simple vowels, which they can practice with short sentences and phrases like "the dragon has a red stomach."
